Top benefits of dancing:

Staying alive! Social dancing reduces stress and increases overall energy and strength. It also increases muscle tone and coordination, lowers your risk of coronary heart disease, lowers blood pressure, helps maintain a healthy weight, and strengthens bones in legs and hips.

What a feeling! Numerous studies have shown that strong social ties and socialization contribute to a high self-esteem and a positive outlook. New experiences enrich our lives. So grab a friend or your significant other and try your hand (and legs!) at something new—ballroom and social dancing!

And the beat goes on! Dancing the night away burns more calories per hour than riding a bike or swimming. Whether you’re an inhibition-free dancer or a two left-footer, dancing can be both fun and beneficial.
